Casading Style Sheets (CSS) provide definition of display, print and spoken word attributes for web pages. This section provides information pertaining to the evolving standards. Correct use of CSS can provided an enhanced experience for users and simplified maintenance and enhancement for webmasters. In addition to hard coded definition of style sheets embedded within web pages or linked as an external resource, CSS properties can be accessed, assigned and modified using ECMA Script (see Javascript® for more information).

All webmasters should be familiar with the current standards set forth by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium). The current CSS standard is CSS 2.1.
