PERL is the most commonly used server-side web programming language and is freely distributed for most all operating systems. PERL is typically already installed and available on most all Internet Hosting ISP's systems.
The benefits of PERL are enormous especially from development and resource management standpoints. It's "open-source" "cross-platform" compatibility aspects continues to make it the choice among professional computer application systems programmer analysts and systems engineers. There can be Windows® OS performance issues when running PERL web server applications, but these can be mitigated until Microsoft® becomes convinced that "open-source" "platform independence" is a good thing for them also. (This is yet to be realized by may at Microsoft®, but many more already do. Isn't that right Bill Gates? Let him know at slate@microsoft.com).
JHZ-CS highly recommends the use of PERL to provide your clients with optimum flexibility and support of their current and future requirements.
