HOME PAGE - The website home page will provide English and other language(s) support to enter the language specific area of the website. Remember, the is the "world" wide web, so the website visitor may originate in any part of the world. This may be accomplished using an image map (see HTML reference for description) allowing for browsers not configured to view web pages using the applicable character font set(s), or simple text hyperlinks or hyperlinked images; however, the use of text hyperlinks will not support the character representations of all dialects of the potential visitor base being targeted.

The remainder of the website will initially be divided into categories, with possible others to follow in subsequent projects. The initial categories need to be determined. The initial pages will be developed in English, then translated into other languages. The use of English in the global IT community is standard usage. For this reason, English is recommended as the language used for the initial development project. Subsequent projects can include the various determined languages. Also, currently there are language translation tools available and using English as the base language will help to assure being able to take advantage of those tools.
There are several good tools available for creating website content. The tools required include an HTML Authoring Tool and an Image Editing Tool. Recommended: MacroMedias DreamWeaver 4 for HTML Authoring, and Adobe PhotoShop 7.0 w/ImageReady for Image Editing and Optimization of images for use on the web.
